There's always some pensioner getting lucky at these re-entry thingies.
A distinguised Highland gentleman like Mr BuBubbles would not wish to be involved with such petty rivalry.

I kent well that I knew the old fellow who was involved with the re-entry shoot off. His name was either Fred A. Rodgers or Ginger A. Astaire, it'll come to me..
Its hellish when your memory is getting past it, especially when you get to the stage of pulling the trigger and then calling for the bird.

ok then,,shoot off was unfair due to the following factors::
1) by the time i shot the sun had come round another 0.0000001 degrees towards me eyeline
2)the wind had increased by at least 0.000000000000000000000000001 knots
3)daylight had faded by .0000000001 lumens
4) and i missed the first basxxxd out
5) old chinese proverb,,,'you can always beat a good shooter but never a lucky one'

A wee suggestion for the old manny with the bad memory. This is a sure fire solution to your problem.
Get a hold of an old HMV gramaphone and remove the trumpet part of it. Fit this trumpet down your barrel, pull the trigger, call pull and bingo you cannot miss !!!
Even better load some cartridges with some old tacks and nails, much better than the sawdust you have been using !!
