We regret to inform you that Sandy Gall died after a heart attack on Sunday morning.  Sandy has been involved with Highland Deephaven for a long time and has been on the committee for several years, more recently being Chairman and Field Captain.  He took an active roll in keeping the ground looking nice, repairing traps and general maintenance on the clubhouse.

His love of shooting extended further than this, as he was also enjoyed small bore rifle shooting with Tain Rifle Club, was secretary for Ross & Cromarty Sports Council and joined the Scottish Clay Target Association board as DTL representative.  The later had more recently led him to push to get a ground ready to hold the European and World Championships in Scotland.

Sandy also shot in the Scottish DTL Team for several years and just last month won the Tom Shanks trophy for the Scottish Super Veterans High Gun.

He will be greatly missed not only at Deephaven, but by the shooting fraternity.  Our thoughts are with the family
